There are many certifications but the one that is currently emerging on the others is that of RWS

RWS certification is a voluntary certification promoted by Textile Exchange, one of the most important international non-profit organizations for responsible and sustainable development in the textile sector. This aims to protect the welfare of animals but also the maintenance of the soil and the protection of the social aspect of production, especially in sheep farming.

In fact, the main purpose is the well-being of the sheep, which is left to live free: healthy and correct nutrition, adequate space, no pain, injury or fear.

This certification provides for the issuance of an environmental declaration, verified by third parties, which ensures that the wool comes from responsibly managed farms.

Wool, not carded or combed, carded wool and worsted wool can be certified according to the RWS standards
